Music in the Era of COVID-19
Our piano recital with the theme of "Great Russian Composers" that was scheduled to take place in the evening of March 13, was unfortunately canceled due to the imminent school closure. We were able to hold an in-class event during the school day and, although we had an audience consisting of a group of students from a neighboring class, we did not record it. In spite of this, our "Great Russian Composers" was one of our favorites of all time. Students speak fondly of that day, and we are all grateful to have been able to perform even though it wasn't exactly how we had planned it. For your reference, you can find the flier and program below.
We also celebrated music in the era of COVID-19 with two virtual recitals: Beethoven 250, commemorating him in the the year of his 250th birthday; and the AMPA Senior Piano Festival, honoring all graduating seniors who were enrolled in piano during the 2019-2020 school year.
You can find links to these virtual events below as well as on the YouTube channel "Friends of AMPA".
